In San Carlos, in the San Francisco Bay Area, there is a small studio called 3xrelax Lab. The walls are covered with real user feedback:

• 💻 A Silicon Valley programmer: “It’s better than any massage I’ve ever tried.”
• 👩👧 A full-time mom: “After putting the kids to bed, it finally gives me a moment to fully relax.”
• 👴 An 82-year-old grandfather: “Gentle but precise, just like the touch I remember.”

These notes marked the beginning of 3xrelax.

When developing the first massage chair, the team didn’t rush to pile on technical specs. Instead, they visited hundreds of households, observing and recording real user needs:

• Measuring programmers’ shoulder and neck curves to provide better clavicle support for long hours of sitting;
• Watching caregivers perform household chores and adjusting massage intensity for waist and hips;
• Accompanying seniors for check-ups, recording joint conditions, and optimizing massage head angles and temperature.

When the first-generation product launched, it didn’t boast about being “the strongest in the industry.” Instead, it communicated a simple and powerful idea:

“For You, For Me, For Him — 3x Relaxation, 3x Life.”

Levi often says: “We don’t just sell massage chairs; we sell the feeling of being seen.”

Each 3xrelax chair carries a user story, from a nurse in San Francisco to a farmer’s wife in Texas, to a single father in New York, accompanying users through life’s moments.

At 3xrelax, “3x” isn’t a cold number — it represents care for every hardworking individual. Whether at work, at home, or in the slow march of time, 3xrelax is there to say: “This time, let me take care of you.”

About the Founder Levi Chen

Levi Chen grew up in a middle-class family in Orange County, California. His father, a mechanical engineer, and his mother, a nurse, taught him the same lesson in very different ways: true wellbeing lives in the small details of care.

At 17, Levi spent countless late nights coding in the library, until a sudden back injury made him realize that burnout begins when we stop making time to take care of ourselves.

In college, a biomechanics course introduced him to assistive devices for people with mobility challenges, inspiring the idea that technology could serve everyday people who are simply exhausted.

After graduation, Levi joined a Silicon Valley hardware company. His old injury flared up, and during a business trip to Tokyo, he discovered a massage chair that automatically adjusted to his muscle tension, allowing him the most restful sleep in months. He realized: “A great massage chair isn’t just a machine — it’s a partner that understands you.”

The real turning point came on his 30th birthday, seeing the people around him — wife, mother, friend — all needing relief. That night, he wrote the first page of what would become 3xrelax.

The “3x” stands for a triple promise:

• 3x the experience: smarter pressure detection, more precise ergonomic design, longer-lasting comfort.
• 3 core groups: for professionals, caregivers, and aging parents needing gentle joint support.
